Cupping evaluation for Hawaii tea growers will be offered by Jane Pettigrew. Enter up to 3 teas per farm, 6 grams per tea.
Internationally renowned tea professional Jane Pettigrew from the United Kingdom will be coming to Hawaii to speak with the public on the culture of the world tea industry in relation to how it may help Hawaii tea growers to understand participation within. This is for all new tea lovers and for anyone who wishes to find out more about tea manufacture and what types of tea come from different tea producing countries. The presentation will offer an enjoyable session for communities interested in tea and supporting the Hawaii grown tea industry. Jane is a tea specialist, historian, and consultant and has written 13 books on the many and varied aspects of tea, its production, history and culture, and writes for tea related magazines and journals. Since 1983 she has been working in the UK and around the world. Her most recent research has included the tea regions of Vietnam, Korea, Bolivia, Bangladesh, Brazil, Thailand, the UK and the USA. Jane gives regular tea master classes and tea tastings, speaks on radio and TV and acts as consultant to tea companies, new tea businesses, table ware and tea ware companies. This year Hawaii is fortunate in having her feature three ~Jl~JI Hawaii grown teas at the June 2010 World Tea Expo. |
