Event Details

Grub Composting makes use of the juvenile Black Soldier Fly to quickly and efficiently digest kitchen scraps (including meat waste) and other organic matter. When ready to mature into adults, the larvae’s instinct is to climb up out of the waste. Come learn from Robert Olivier, Bio-Grub expert and originator of the Bio-Pod® about do-it-yourself and commercial systems that make use of this “self-harvest” mechanism to provide you with high-fat, high-protein animal feed! (See http://thebiopod.com)

This is a FREE EVENT (donations accepted) located at the Cooperative Extension Office in Hilo at 875 Komohana St. and co-sponsored by CTAHR. Pre-registration is appreciated to know about how many people to prepare for.
